Haley Veterans Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33612, requires Hu-Friedy Hygiene Kits. BACKGROUND: The Dental Clinic has hired additional hygienists and needs more hygiene kits to meet the demand. The Dental Clinic requests 100 more Hygiene kits to be added to the inventory to help Sterile Processing keep up with the ever-growing clinical needs. SCOPE: This order is for Hu-Friedy dental instrumentation. We currently have, in our inventory and all of our Dental Trays, Hu-Friedy Dental Instruments. We cannot switch brands because we cannot mismatch instrumentation brands within our dental/surgical sets. For continued continuity of care, we must continue to purchase and match the same brand of instruments we already have. Additionally, we have a Censitrac instrument tracking system for all our surgical and dental trays. The Hu-Friedy instruments are the brand we have in our tracking system for dental cases. This tracking system creates count sheets for each individual dental tray, and to change that would be a huge undertaking and would take hundreds of hours.
