The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System (BPVAHS) located at 10000 Bay Pines Blvd. Bay Pines, FL 33744, has a requirement for Contracted Emergency Residential Services (CERS) with a focus on medically enhanced care for the BPVAHCS catchment area. The Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) program is an essential and critical part of VHA, providing a gateway to VA and community-based supportive services for eligible Veterans who are homeless. The program uses CERS in community locations to engage homeless Veterans who have been historically underserved. Many of these Veterans would benefit from medical, mental health, and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment but often do not avail themselves of these services without the encouragement and support of Outreach and other HCHV workers.
