STATEMENT OF NEED GENERAL: The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) Mental Health and Domiciliary has executed a new lease/build to consolidate and expand the mental health and domiciliary clinic, 8501 Temple Terrace Highway, Tampa, Florida 33637. Along with the expansion, the Mental Health and Domiciliary require kitchen equipment to feed the patience and staff. BACKGROUND: The JAHVH Tampa Mental Health and Domiciliary Clinic requires various kitchen equipment, including carts, cabinets, racks, tables, food processors, dispensers, and other kitchen equipment. PURPOSE: The various kitchen equipment, including carts, cabinets, racks, tables, food processors, dispensers, and other kitchen equipment, are required for Nutrition Food Services to prepare meals for Domiciliary patients/veterans. SCOPE: JAHVH Tampa Mental Health and Domiciliary Clinic requests contractors to provide a brand name or equal equipment that meets or exceeds the physical, functional, and performance of the listed salient characteristics in this section. The equipment feature is essential to the technical requirements to meet the need of the Nutrition Food Services department.
