Answers to Contractor s Questions RFQ No. 36C24823Q0772 Belimed Washers & Sterilizers Maintenance Services No. REFERENCE (PWS, Price/Cost Schedule Structure, etc.) COMMENT(s)/QUESTION(s) GOVERNMENT S RESPONSE 1 PWS We have a question about the Belimed Washers and Sterilizers. Are these fed house steam? Belimed tends to utilize clean steam systems which are extremely expensive and would also include a water treatment setup of some sort. If so please let us know. Yes, the Sterilizers are fed house steam, which is supplied by our in-house FMS Dept. The RO/DI for the Washers are supplied by the AmeriWater System, which is maintained by in house Biomed/HTM Dept. 2 Structure of 3rd party services Belimed is a sole source provider for these machines because of the software requirements and calibration requirements that can only be done by Belimed certified techs. Is there a plan if the facility plans on going to a 3rd party provider to remain FDA compliant? The Belimed equipment at our facilities are Government owned and not under OEM warranty. During market research and discussions with Belimed, they are vendors that could provide this service. The CO will determine price fair and reasonableness prior to contract award. 3 Preventative Maintenance Schedule Who will be required to complete preventative maintenance on the machines and are they aware that genuine Belimed parts are required to remain compliant? Qualified vendors that submit a quote with all documents required to evaluate.

This procurement is set-aside based on an order of priority as established in 38 U.S.C. 8127. TIERED EVALUATIONS INCLUDING LARGE BUSINESS CONCERNS: This solicitation is being issued as a tiered evaluation with the following tiers: (1) SDVOSB concerns, (2) VOSB concerns, (3) small business concerns with HUBZone small business concerns and 8(a) participants having priority; and (4) large business concerns.
