Question 1: Will work be performed during normal working hours, Monday Friday between 7:00am 3:30pm? Answer: Work shall be done during off hours. Saturday/Sunday 7:00 am 3:30 pm. Question 2: What is the maximum time that the service can be down? Answer: One day/24 hours. Question 3: I saw a Simplex Fire Alarm Panel. Does this equipment and/or any other equipment in the pumphouse need temporary power with a generator? Answer: if due to unforeseen conditions, generator power shall be provided by the VA Electrical Shop. Question 4: Can you clarified under contractor requirements that the Contractor be a certified diesel mechanic? Answer: Once the service is changed, commissioning shall be done to ensure proper operation of the fire pumps. Running of the system requires a certified diesel mechanic to ensure proper operation of the system. VA will supply the diesel mechanic.
