The Contractor shall furnish all personnel to provide services necessary to perform On-site Radiation Oncology Physician, Therapeutic Medical Physics and Dosimetry Support Services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center (VAMC), Miami VA Healthcare System (hereinafter referred to as MVAHCS). The contractor’s physician(s)’ care shall cover the range of Radiation Oncology services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards. All Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Radiation Oncology Services are accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting body contracted through the National Radiation Oncology Program (NROP). As such any Contractor providing on-site radiation oncology services must adhere to all the policies and procedures; practice standards, guidelines, patient care operations; patient safety; quality assurance and quality management of radiotherapy planning, equipment, and delivery; and continuous quality improvement initiatives promulgated by the American College of Radiology, American Society for Radiation Oncology and American Association for Physicist in Medicine.
