Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 is seeking pre installation construction services contract to prepare for the installation of new on-site treatment of regulated medical waste systems to include labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and all other resources necessary for the design and construction of the project described herein and other specific tasks as further defined by this Request for Proposals (RFP). NAICS Code: The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238910 – Site Preparation Contractors, with a small business size standard of $16.5 Million. The Product Service Code is Y1DA – Construction of Hospitals and Infirmaries. This solicitation will be evaluated on the trade-off source selection process, providing best value to the Government. The source selection process will utilize FAR Part 15.101-1 to evaluate proposals and contract award. At the time of proposal submission, all interested firms must have a current registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.SAM.GOV and be certified as a Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business in Vet-Biz at www.vip.vetbiz.gov. Proposals for contractors not registered/certified in both databases will not be considered for award. Green Environmental Management System (GEMS): Contractors selected for award of this contract are expected to be good stewards of the environment by complying with federal, state, local environmental laws, and other requirements such as medical center policy and project specifications.
