The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 is seeking sources and intends to award a fixed-price contract for construction services for a complete project, which includes construction services for Project # 546-19-104, “Secure Medical Gas Farm” located at the Miami VA Medical Center at 1201 NW 16th Street Miami, Florida 33125. The primary objective of this project is to implement measures to secure the existing medical gas farm to meet the VA’s mission critical physical security design guidelines. This project is focused on ensuring that all local, federal, state, and national code requirements are being met. This project is plans to include a stationary oxygen tank farm, an adjacent medical gas storage shed and a service yard area adjacent to our existing emergency oxygen inlet area. The site is boundary by building 1 to the south and building 7 to the east and north. The site is immediately adjacent to the loading dock and secured service yard to the west extending north to the existing pesticide storage building. Relocating the existing medical gas manifolds and stored gas cylinders from the oxygen tank farm remains in the project scope. Buildings that will house the relocated medical gas manifolds and store the medical gas cylinders will be constructed on the west and south sides of the building 7 wing that borders the north side of the existing oxygen tank farm.
