STATEMENT OF NEED Additional Radio Items GENERAL: This requirement is for the newly constructed leased consolidation project at New Port Richey Community Based Outpatient Clinic (NPR CBOC) at 7932 Little Road, New Port Richey, FL 34654-3419. This requirement is for the procurement and installation of hand-held radios and accessories. BACKGROUND: The police personnel at the New Port Richey Outpatient Clinic (OPC) and New Port Richey Mental Health Facility are relocating to a newly constructed New Port Richey VA CBOC. This requirement is for the procurement of handheld radios that will be programmed into the radio system that is being moved and consolidation from the two legacy facilities to the new CBOC. This requirement is in addition to and separate from the requirement to move the existing radio system from the New Port Richey outpatient clinic to the newly constructed CBOC. SCOPE: The contractor will be responsible for the installation of the new items at the New Port Richey CBOC. The contractor will be required to verify with the New Port Richey VA Police team after installation to ensure that the radios have been installed and programmed in accordance with the department s needs. Due to the current contract in place with Communications International for the maintenance and support of the current radio system, this is an open market requirement.
