The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to award a sole source firm fixed-price task order for base + 4 option years to Siemens Medical Solutions USA Incorporated for preventive maintenance services. This is considered a follow-on to what is currently in place. The Gainesville North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMC) require continued preventive maintenance on equipment to care for veterans. The contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit only one source under the authority FAR 8.404. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submittal proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive submittals. See the attached Performance Work Statement. A determination by the government not to compete this proposal order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
