Page 1 of 1 Synopsis This is a pre-solicitation announcement for the Department of Veterans Affairs, West Palm Beach, VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida, 33410-6400. A Request for Proposal will be issued on the Federal Business Opportunities-FBO-SAM website on or about April 8, 2022, for Inspection, Cleaning and Repair Services for five-(5) Baltimore Cooling Towers located at the VAMC Medical Center, West Palm Beach, FL 33455. This announcement is SDVOSB Set-Aside and open to SDVOSB contractors. The VA is seeking a contractor that shall provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision for the inspection, cleaning and repair of Five-(5) Baltimore Cooling towers to include: Pre-cleaning-Apply Lock out and tag out of the main power switch, add peroxide additive to sanitize and pretreat tower and run for 24 hours, Apply isolation plate to each tower being cleaned, Close the valves that supply and return water to and from the tower, Close the make-up water valve to the tower, Remove the grate covering the suction intake for cleaning. Other pre-cleaning services. Mechanical Cleaning to remove all algae, slight scale, dirt, mud, and collected debris with pressure washer, a garden hose with power spray nozzle, wet vac, shovel, broom, and squeegee and other services. Strainer Cleaning of the Isolated valves connected/ around strainer. Contractor will follow all VA master specs and OSHA guidelines along with LOTO procedures. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220 Plumbing, heating and Air Conditioning Contractors and the size standard is 500 employees. The government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Type contract in April or May of 2022. The solicitation will result in the award of a single contract. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. As authorized by FAR 5.102, solicitation dissemination is limited electronic medium, and the VA will provide no hard copies. The solicitation, consisting of various proposal documents, statement of work, and forms, will only be available for download at no charge at the SAM-Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website https://fbohome.sam.gov/ tentatively on March 8, 2022 with a due date to be specified in the Solicitation. No other site shall be used to obtain these documents unless posted through an Amendment. All interested offerors should register at www.sam.gov so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement. An Offeror s List WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer, as it is the offeror s responsibility to register at the SAM.Gov website. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all proposal documents and acknowledge any amendments, and should revisit the FBO website periodically to check for any modifications to this notice, updates, or amendments without further notice from the VA.
