The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) is issuing this synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to provide annual software licenses & software support for the Responder 5- Nurse Call System used at the Orlando VA Medical Center (VAMC) at Lake Nona located in Orlando, Florida and Orange county. The manufacturer offers annual subscriptions (a.k.a. Care Plus) to support and maintain the Responder 5 system. The Care Plus subscription consists of two modules: Care Plus Software Support and Care Plus Self-Maintainer. Care Plus Software Support module provides full-service software support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and 365 days per year (24x7x365), to include annual licensing, both remote and on-site support, software fixes, and on-going version upgrades. Care Plus - Self-Maintainer module annually provides on-site training and 24x7x365 remote helpdesk assistance to VA technicians. The authorized training is conducted by a certified Rauland-Borg instructor and provides basic troubleshooting technics to participants. The 8-hour training is held in a classroom setting and uses computer based, technical manuals, and hands-on methods of instruction. The result is trained, and certified VA technicians authorized to perform immediate troubleshooting technics on the installed systems, equipment, and software. When requested, the facility also has access to 24x7x365 remote and on-site technical support for any issue not correctable by in-house technicians. Rauland-Borg of Florida certifies to be the sole authorized distributor for Rauland-Borg healthcare products and there are no other distributors for these products assigned for the following counties in Florida: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, De Soto, Duval, Flagler, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Nassau, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, Union, Volusia. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide products or services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated.
