DESCRIPTION: The North Florida/South Georgia (NF/SG) Veterans Healthcare System, Gainesville VAMC, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL, 32608 intends to award on a Sole Source basis a maintenance contract for the 7500 Realtime PCR. The proposed source is Life Technologies, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK: To provide maintenance services on the 7500 Real Time PCR system, Serial# 275000682, located at the NF/SG VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL. Services shall be performed by manufacturer trained service engineers who are familiar with all aspects of this 7500 Real Time PCR equipment. To include annual planned maintenance (PM) and priority response calls for repair calls. The service engineer will work on site as needed. TERM: This will be a firm fixed price contract for one base year with 4 option years. The base year shall begin January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022. REQUIREMENTS: Contractor shall provide maintenance/certification services in accordance with manufacturer s specifications and as outlined below: The services to be performed by the vendor will consist of the following: Response Time - Guaranteed priority response for repair calls. Labor and travel fees-all included in the contract. Replacement parts covered by the contract at no additional cost. Priority for technical phone support. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. The proposed NAICS 811219 is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of $22 million. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than 12/22/2021 at 10:00AM EST. Responses should be sent to shirley.courtney@va.gov.
