This is a pre-solicitation notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VA Sunshine Healthcare Network, Veterans Integrated Network Service (VISN 8) is the nation s largest system of hospitals and clinics serving a population of more than 1.6 million Veterans in a vast 64,153 square mile area spread across 79 counties in Florida, South Georgia, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. VISN 8 s seven healthcare systems include eight Joint Commission-accredited VA Medical Centers (VAMCs) and 55 outpatient clinics. Approximately 23,800 employees work at these facilities, providing a full range of high quality, cost-effective medical, psychiatric and extended care services in an inpatient, outpatient, nursing home, and home care settings. Scope of Services: The Miami VA Healthcare System requires contractor to fully replace cooling tower drive shaft assembly. The job will require a Crane Lift for installing and removing Drive Assemblies. The contractor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing Drive Shaft Assemble and of all replacement components and to reconnect the new Cooling tower Dive Shaft in accordance with manufacturing specifications. The contractor shall replace shaft, fan assembly (blade hub etc.) and ensure that the shaft assembly is balance and aligned and perform unit checkout and demonstration after installation. Interested Vendors The applicable NAICS for this service is 238220. The requirement will be set aside for verified SDVOSBs. To be considered for this requirement, vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM - https://www.sam.gov). All responses to this RFI shall be submitted to the following email address: Kenneth.Caryer@va.gov. The closing time/date for responses is 1:00 PM EST, 29th June 2020. This pre-solicitation notice is not the actual solicitation. A tentative site visit is schedule for July 7, 2020 at 9am. Contract both the Contracting Officer, Kenneth.Caryer@va.gov and Mr. Philip Coleman at Philip.Coleman@va.gov to inform of your intent to attend the site visit. Be on the look-out for the actual solicitation that will soon post. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT REQUIRE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION.
