Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) is conducting market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources to provide ASSET MANAGEMENT / TRACKING SYSTEM (hardware & software) to monitor usage, location, and condition of durable medical equipment to ensure clinical assets are being used effectively, efficiently. Project scope: 1. A custom configured asset tracking solution (hardware and software) that addresses real VA clinical and operational needs. 2. Planning and activation services, on-site technical implementation, end user training, and remote support for the duration of the contract. This is a market research/sources sought synopsis only, (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5). This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is for planning/information purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment or a promise of a contract by the Government. This is not a solicitation. This notice does not constitute a Request for Bid, Request for Quote or Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey. For the purpose of this acquisition, the NAICS code is 541511 and the small business size standard of $27,500,000.00 is applicable. This survey is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources and services pursuant to FAR Part 10. Interested parties shall provide a capability statement that addresses the organization s qualifications and ability to provide as a prime contractor an Asset Management System. Capability statements shall include the following business information: DUNS number, business name, and address. Point of Contact (Including name, title, addresses, telephone number, fax number and Email address) Business size for NAICS: 541511. Socio-economic status (e.g. SDVOSB, VOSB, 8a, HUBZone, WO, Small Business, etc .) A narrative that addresses your firm s ability to provide an Asset Management System. Discuss system features and capabilities, explain how data is collected (e.g. assumption-based), the type of data being collected and the usefulness of the data to the end user.
