Purpose: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 07, is issuing this Sources Sought Notice for market research and planning purposes only. The information obtained will help the Government determine the availability of vendors (companies) that are interested, capable, and qualified to provide Mortuary (Funeral) Services for the Central Alabama VA Health Care System (CAVHCS) as described in the attached PWS. All market research efforts, including responses to this notice will help the Government determine the appropriate procurement strategy. Currently, no solicitation exists. Any procurement actions resulting from this notice will be announced in accordance with federal acquisition policies. Additionally, the Performance Work Statement (PWS) attached to this notice is a draft and is subject to change prior to any future announcements being issued. If further announcements are issued as a result of this market research, interested parties must respond to the notice in accordance with the instructions in that announcement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 812210, Funeral Home and Funeral Services, with a small business size standard of $12.5 Million.
