A. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Purpose: Purchase, installation and certification of a Biological Safety Cabinet and a Horizontal Laminar Airflow workstation. 2. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this statement of work, except as may otherwise be specified. Contractor shall procure, deliver, and install a biological safety cabinet and horizontal laminar airflow workstation as identified in this document and the salient characteristic document. 3. Background: The acquisition of the biosafety cabinet and laminar airflow workstation is needed to expand the capacity of the pharmacy compounding capabilities to meet the growing needs of patient care. 4. Performance Period: This is a onetime purchase. Service will work with vendor to determine the estimated delivery time frame. 5. Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed-Price. 6. Place of Performance: Delivery will be made to Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, 1 Freedom Way Augusta, Bldg. 111 Warehouse GA 30904 and installation will be conducted at 950 15th Street, Augusta GA 30901. 7. Hours of Operation: Warehouse deliveries are accepted between 8am and 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Hospital normal hours of operation are between 8am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Holidays falling on a Sunday will be observed the following Monday. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Contractor shall provide 1 biological safety cabinet and 1 horizontal laminar airflow workstation that meets the specifications outlined in the salient characteristics document. Solicitation will be posted for this requirement.
