All responses will be used for market analysis in determining the availability of potential qualified businesses that may be used to determine appropriate acquisition strategy. No solicitation is being issued at this time but may be issued later. The Central Alabama Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHCS) located at 215 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery Alabama 36109 is seeking musicians with the ability to read music and provide musical offerings during Protestant worship services on Sunday mornings. A detailed Statement of Work (SOW) follows. Interested offerors are encouraged to respond to this notice via e-mail. Questions regarding this notice should be forwarded to Joseph Locke via e-mail at joseph.locke@va.gov PERFORMANCE BASED WORK STATEMENT Professional Musician-Pianist GENERAL: The contractor shall provide spiritual music for each scheduled Sunday worship service at the Chapel (Building 3A, Room 100), 215 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. BACKGROUND: The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) is a dual division medical facility, encompassing a wide variety of Veterans and active duty, personnel receiving acute medical, Surgical, Psychiatric, Domiciliary, long-term, palliative, and outpatient care. The facility is in Montgomery, Alabama and provides primary, secondary, and some tertiary care. It is the mission of Chaplain Service to provide for the spiritual needs of Veterans and one way is through weekly vibrant worship service in which music is a major part of the service. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: June 1, 2022, through September 30, 2022, base year plus 4 Option years. Base 06/30/2022 09/30/2022 Option Year 1 10/1/2022-09/30/2023 Option Year 2 10/1/2023-09/30/2024 Option Year 3 10/1/2024-09/30/2025 Option Year 4 10/1/2025-09/30/2026 PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The Chapel (Building 3A, Room 100), 215 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. DAYS AND HOURS OF OPERATION: Sundays, from 9 AM to 10:00 AM. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: The Contractor shall provide musical offerings during all Sunday Protestant Worship Services, (1) Memorial, and (1) Holiday services. The Contractor shall be responsible for locating a qualified and experienced substitute musician in the event of illness or other absence from duty. If none can be located, the amount of the contract will be decreased for services not rendered. Musician will need to know how to read music. It is mandatory for musician to audition for this contract. There will be 2 auditions held at the Chapel (Bldg. 3A, Room 100), 215 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. The first auditions will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 and the second auditions will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022. Musician is required to be screened for COVID-19 and must wear a mask while on location. INVOICES: Payment will be made when a properly prepared invoice is submitted by the Contractor using the Tungsten e-Invoicing process. All invoices will be validated by the Chief, Chaplain Service or his designee. Payment will be electronically deposited into the vendor s designated account. No paper invoices will be accepted.
