This notice is not a solicitation. All information received in response to this notice that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to this notice do not constitute a request for quote (RFQ), request for proposal (RFP), or invitation for bid (IFB) and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this notice. Any procurement actions resulting from this notice will be announced in accordance with federal acquisition policies. Additionally, item descriptions and information in this notice are subject to change prior to any future announcements being issued. If further announcements are issued as a result of this market research, interested parties must respond to the specific posting in accordance with the specifications of that announcement. Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7, on behalf of WJB Dorn VA Medical Center located at 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209, is seeking sources that can provide 1 each Cryostat that is brand-name or equal to Epredia Cryostar NX70 Cryostat. The Salient Characteristics, see attached, are intended to be descriptive, not restrictive, and indicate the physical, functional, and performance capabilities of the brand name item that an "equal" item must meet to be acceptable. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334516 (size standard of 1,000 employees). The Product Service Code is 6640. See attached salient characteristics for a full description. The Government will use the information received in response to this notice to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for fulfilling the Government’s needs. Responding to Notice: If you are interested, and capable of providing a product that meet the attached salient characteristics, please submit a response that includes the following: 1. Provide your business name, address, point of contact, and company unique entity identification (UEI) number 2. Provide size status for your business, such as but not limited to: Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Hubzone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Large Business, etc.). 3. Are you the manufacturer OR authorized distributor/reseller for the product that meets the requirement description? 4. If you are a large business, do you have any authorized distributors/resellers? If so, please provide their company name, telephone, point of contact and size status. 5. If you’re a small business and you are an authorized distributor/reseller for the product meeting the requirement description, do you have an authorized distributor or reseller letter signed by the manufacturer of the items? 6. Where is the product manufactured (Country of Origin)? 7. Are you a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS), VA, GSA, or any other federal contract holder? If yes, provide the contract number. 8. If you are an existing federal contract holder, is the equipment available on your existing contract? 9. Provide any feedback or suggestions that may assist in this market research and planning effort. If none, please reply as N/A.
