The VA Network Contracting Office 6 seeks qualified contractors for market research on installing a chilled-water bypass loop system serving the third-floor laboratory at the Central VA Healthcare System, integrated with the existing chiller, air-handling equipment, and Johnson Controls building automation/control system. The bypass loop is needed because its absence causes chiller shutdowns and inadequate cooling in the laboratory. Interested small and other-than-small businesses should submit capability statements covering socioeconomic status, ability to perform as prime, relevant experience with chilled-water bypass loops/chiller piping/HVAC controls, JCI or similar BAS integration, at least two relevant projects from the past five years, proposed subcontractors, licenses/certifications/bonding/safety qualifications, and any concerns or set-aside recommendations.
