The VA is conducting market research for a contractor to provide comprehensive referral laboratory testing, specimen transportation, and autopsy services for the Central Virginia VA Health Care System, including Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center and associated locations. Services include clinical and anatomic pathology testing, routine/urgent/STAT testing, specimen receiving/processing/secure transport, supplies, electronic result access, consultative support, and hospital/medical autopsy services with gross and microscopic exams and final reports. The contractor and any subcontractor or reference laboratories must hold required federal/state licenses, certifications, and accreditations such as CLIA, CMS-deemed accreditation (CAP, COLA, or Joint Commission), applicable NRC licenses, and HIPAA compliance.
