The Central Virginia VA Health Care System in Richmond, VA (1201 Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23249) is conducting a Sources Sought/market research notice for a snow and ice removal service agreement for a base plus one option year. The contractor must provide snow removal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays, respond within two hours of notification to be on station and begin work, continue until released by the Contracting Officer Representative or designated POC, and furnish contact numbers. Work includes clearing parking lots and roadways, maintaining at least a 3-foot clear path at sidewalk entrance ramps, disposing of snow/trash/debris, and avoiding or repairing equipment-caused damage; VA maintains sidewalks, docking ramps, landings, and building entrances. Performance timelines include Priority 1 areas cleared when accumulation exceeds 1 inch or after snowfall stops within 5–8 hours for 0–3 inches and 8–14 hours above 3 inches, followed by Priority 2 areas within 8–12 hours for 0–3 inches and 12–24 hours above 3 inches; standby/repeat events are billed per event and defined as 12–14 hours or sooner.
