This is a sole source justification for service and support of three specialized AlignRT patient positioning systems at the Richmond VAMC. The work must be performed by Vision RT, the original equipment manufacturer, as they are the only company qualified to provide the necessary upgrades, certified technicians, and proprietary parts. An intent to sole source notice was previously posted but received no responses from other vendors. The Contracting Officer will determine a fair and reasonable price through market research and price analysis. The requirement is based on the systems' proprietary nature and the critical need for manufacturer-certified support to ensure accuracy in cancer treatments.
