The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Revels Contracting Services, Inc., 5620 Gallagher Dr. Gastonia, NC, 28052-8702, for new GE Health and Siemens Health CT Camera in Nuclear Medicine department site preparation at the Salem VA Healthcare System. The equipment is a computed tomography camera, a medical imaging device that uses X-rays to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body. This is a sole-sourced requirement due to the pressing need for it. This contract action is for services for which the VA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-5 (Authorized by Statute) and 38 U.S.C. 8127(c), which is implemented by VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 819.7007. A determination that only one Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concern is available to provide this requirement is not required (see VAAR 819.7007(b)). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all capability statements/responses received by the date listed below will be considered by the VA. A determination by the VA not to complete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the VA. Inc. has been determined to be a responsible contractor with respect to performance, and the Contracting Officer has determined that an award can be made at a fair and reasonable price. Revels Contracting Services, Inc. has completed multiple design/build projects for various federal agencies such as the Department of Veterans of Affairs.
