This equipment is designed to be installed by the manufacturer/ vendor during construction/ renovation of OR rooms when utilities (electrical, suction lines, anesthesia gas lines) are installed in the ceilings and walls, when the walls and ceilings have not been enclosed. This equipment will be installed in the structures of the building to hold the weight suspended in the ceilings. Along with the utilities, the integration communication power/cables will also need to be installed at the same time throughout the OR suite. Some of this equipment was purchased in 2017 at the beginning of the construction project for 4 OR rooms in phase 1 from Steris all in which is still in storage at the facility. The construction was stopped due to unforeseen contractor/ design issues that had to be worked out. Since we are utilizing this existing equipment/ anesthesia booms in storage with associated install parts/ wiring/ structural plates, no other manufacturer equipment is compatible. Steris has utilized our construction design blueprints to configure all the necessary items for all 7 OR rooms.
