This is a source sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation document exists currently. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this source sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Durham Veterans Affairs Health Care System (VAHCS), 508 Fulton St, Durham, NC 27705, is seeking potential sources capable to provide the necessary routine battery installation to ensure GEM cart is running at full capacity by testing the charge of motor for GEM Cart Repair for two GEM Carts. Vendor shall arrive on site at the Durham VA parking garage located at 508 Fulton Street, Durham NC, 27705. On the date of repair, representative will begin work to repair battery on GEM Cart 1, Serial No, 52CG4SGA5E0010408. After GEM cart 1 repair, Representative will start on and GEM Cart 2 Serial No. 52CG4SGA4E0010402. This work will consist of removal or current and installation of new drive motor brushes. Once repaired, Representative will verify that brushes are working correctly per manufactures specifications. This work should be done between 12-5pm Eastern Standard Time, U.S., Monday Friday (excluding holidays).
