Market Research is being conducted to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Business (SB), Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business or HUBZone interests and Large Businesses. The McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is trying to determine whether to set-aside an acquisition for equipment service plan for the Excimer Laser System at Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center Richmond, VA 243249. The scope of the acquisition includes but is not limited to: Ensuring equipment functions in conformance with the specifications used when the equipment was procured by the VAMC, and any upgrades/updates, as well as following the most current published standards, specifications, and regulations. The CVX-300 Excimer Laser System and all associated laser catheters are manufactured solely by Philips/Spectranetics LLC, FKA The Spectranetics Corporation, now a part of Philips Image Guided Therapy Devices. Spectranetics manufactures, distributes, and services the CVX-300 Excimer Laser System. Fully trained and certified field service engineers ensure the system receives proper maintenance and operates safely as approved by the FDA for specific indications for use. All service completed on the system at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VAMC will be performed by factory trained and certified field service engineers utilizing only authorized and approved components. The engineers are expected to be experts in the field and work daily with the CVX-300 Excimer Laser System. Philips/Spectranetics is the only authorized service group for the CVX-300 Excimer Laser System. Philips/Spectranetics does not train, certify, or acknowledged any third party to service this Class III medical device. Philips / Spectranetics does not sell replacement parts, as the system has no user serviceable parts. Manufacturer s specifications, Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), National Fire Protection Agency 99 (NFPA 99) and 70 (NFPA 70), Center for Device and Radiological Health (CDRH), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), American Hospital Association (AHA), Institute of Electrical And Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), College of American Pathologists (CAP), Richmond VAMC standard operating procedures, and any other Federal, State, and Local regulations pertaining to the equipment listed for this contract. Government Provided Tools, Materials and Equipment. The Federal Government will not provide any tools, parts, materials, and equipment. This is a turn-key project with the vendor providing all necessary tools, parts, materials, and equipment. If your company can meet and can perform the needed services, please notify our office of your intent. In response, please include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid as a prime contractor (capability statement); (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers; (c) past performance references with points of contact and phone numbers. At least two (2) references are requested, but more are desirable. Responses to this notice should also identify whether or not the firm falls into any of the socioeconomic categories listed above. Your response is required by: Monday 30 Oct 2023, 12:00 PM EST. All capable vendors are encouraged to respond. The Government will not pay for any information solicited.
