Hefner VAMC Pre-Solicitation for the Correct Physical Securities Deficiencies The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO 6) at the Salisbury, NC anticipates issuing a solicitation for a construction project to Correct Physical Securities Deficiencies at the W.G. Hefner VAMC located at 1601 Brenner Avenue Salisbury, North Carolina 28144. The Salisbury NC VAMC campus has various physical security deficiencies that need to be corrected within the building envelope involving various doors, windows, walls, access controls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS). Work will be performed in accordance with all current Salisbury VAMC policies, procedures and best practices involving design and construction operations and will be structured to provide minimum interruption of space function during construction. The end goal is elimination of repeated inspection failures. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to installation of security glass, PACS, window screens, up and over, Intrusion Detection, Lenel Panels as well as new walls and doors in selected areas. The scope of the work will be fully detailed on the contract documents (Drawings and Specifications). In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management, prospective contractors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM), VetBiz database if applicable (VetBiz registration is required for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses) under the applicable NAICS Code and VETS 4212. Contractors may obtain SAM information at https://www.sam.gov and Vet Biz information at http://www.vetbiz.gov. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management database. Registration is free and potential offerors are encouraged to visit the SAM website as no contract can be awarded to any offeror not registered in SAM. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220 (Size Standard $39.5M). The VA will issue an RFP on or about the November 07, 2022 and will be a 100% total set aside for a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. A site visit will be scheduled on or about November 15, 2022, located at Building 15 at W.G. Hefner VAMC.
