The Department of Veterans Affairs, Salem, Virginia has a requirement for a contractor to provide all Asbestos Abatement of Building 8 and 9 to include all labor, equipment, tools, materials, parts, supplies, and supervision necessary to perform asbestos abatement throughout the Salem VA Medical Center (VAMC). The Period of Performance is anticipated to 270 days from award Notice. Pipe (LF) Building 8 (Total) 2270 Building 9(Total) 5471 The Government intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFI) and award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to the responsible vendor whose quote is the most advantageous to the Government under the procedures in FAR 13.5 used in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901. Market research indicates that this acquisition will be competed as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set aside under FAR Part 13 procedures for commercial items. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 562910- Remediation Services with a small business size standard of $16.5M.
