VISN 6 Nuclear Medicine Software SOW 2 The scope of this project involves procurement and deployment of a proprietary network that gives the United States Department of Veterans Affairs Hospitals (VISN 6) the ability to utilize a single, unified Nuclear Medicine platform solution for all image viewing and analysis needs. This will include the ability to standardize and automate Nuclear Medicine processing, enhance PET/CT reading and tumor tracking as well as utilize neurological quantification of SPECT and PET/CT exams. The project includes the following sites: Asheville VA Medical Center (Asheville, NC) Durham VA Medical Center (Durham, NC) Fayetteville VA Medical Center (Fayetteville, NC) Hampton VA Medical Center (Hampton, VA) Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center (Richmond, VA) Salem VA Medical Center (Salem, VA) Salisbury - W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center (Salisbury, NC) The project includes the following: Twenty-six (26) floating licenses for the basic software package. Two (2) Neuro upgrade licenses Two (2) Cedars PET Upgrade licenses Twenty (20) floating Cedars Basic Perfusion SPECT licenses. Thirty-five (35) onsite Installation and Training Days Software will automatically pull prior images, integrate with LDAP/AD, centralizes configurations, automatic Nuclear Medicine exam processing, etc. Software should perform automated ROI selection to improve and standardize processing. The software will be customized to fit the needs of VISN 6. Workflows will be built to handle the processes or exams that are currently being conducted, as well as add any future ones as they are implemented. User configurations can be centralized so that no matter where they log into the software, all of their settings, preferences and Workflows will follow them. A user can expect consistent output every time no matter who is doing the processing. In regard to PET/CT reading, users are able to track and save the measurements over time. On a single time point, the measurements are saved as a Findings file so that when it's time to do a comparison, the user can pull in the measurements from the first time point so there will be no question of what was measured on the previous scan. The software should be deployed via Thick or Thin Client and is Citrix certified. Must provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week direct customer support provided by clinical engineers who can assist with any questions, issues or customization needs. For the Upgrades to the software, Clinical Support Engineers would be available to assist the user as they are released, and this includes any major and minor upgrade The software will never reach end of life; VA will not be required to repurchase and will have ownership indefinitely as long as the maintenance and support contract is maintained. PET Segmentation that allows a gradient-based technique to accurately segment tumors. Lesion ID that allows for automatic lesion detection. Lesions are capture by using any criteria the user chooses which then can be sorted. Tumor Tracking. A methodology that groups measurements for the same tumor automatically without need to scan previous reports and can be automatically linked to past time points and previously saved findings. Custom statistics and graphs can be provided for automation within workflows. Advanced SPECT/CT applications like Lung Quantification and through the Workflow; Planar Projections based off the SPECT/CT so a user wouldn't have to acquire the Planar images in addition. PET Software should include total tumor burden, which can track tumor volume and total body tumor burden over time to assist with therapy planning. PET software should include quantitative SUV for a lesion. Neurology software should include access to national databases for normal and abnormal findings. RECIST measurements should be automated. TRM approved Purchase of the main platform should be through the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to ensure optimal installation and ongoing service. Add-ons can be from other sources.
