INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: Veterans Health Administration, Richmond, VA intends to award on sole source basis a contract to Brainlab Inc for preventative maintenance service and support to the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center. The period of performance is 1 Apr 2023 through 30 Mar 2024. The proposed contract action is for service for which the Government intends to procure from one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 The Brainlab software is a proprietary software developed and owned by Brainlab AG, the parent company of Brainlab, Inc. ("Brainlab"), and, along with the quoted hardware, is available solely through Brainlab and its parent and affiliate companies. Brainlab recommends that Brainlab products are serviced solely by Brainlab trained personnel. As a Sole Source purchase quotes are not being requested. Responses shall be received, in writing, no later than 12:00 AM, EST, on 3/13/2023 to warren.pennil@va.gov.
