PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Project: Asbestos Abatement of Building 8,9,11,12,75 and 77. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Salem, Virginia has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, and supervision necessary to completely replace and upgrade transformers throughout the Salem VA Medical Center (VAMC).Project for the Asbestos Abatement of Building 8,9,11,12,75 and 77 project as required by accompanying drawings, and specifications, and documents. This project outlines both the demolition and new work to includes: Project consists providing all labor, material, equipment, notifications, licenses, and qualified supervision necessary to perform work as described in the Drawings and Specifications for Building 8 (attic, subbasement, and crawlspace) and Building 9 (attic, subbasement, and crawlspace), Building 11 (attic, crawlspace, and sub-basement) and Building 12 (attic, crawlspace, and sub-basement), Building 75 (attic) and Building 77 (crawlspace) asbestos abatement at the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, VA. Work includes abatement of all asbestos containing insulation, mudded fittings, elbows, valves, gaskets, and debris as is necessary to complete the scope of work. In addition, this project includes the re-insulation of abated pipes, fittings, elbows, valves, and gaskets. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. NAICS CODE: 562910- Remediation Services Size Standard: $25 Million This solicitation is anticipated to be a Large Business (LB) Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about July 20, 2023. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposal will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation.
