Presolicitation Notice Presolicitation Notice Page 3 of 3 Presolicitation Notice PRESOLICITATION NOTICE 74-77 Corridor Masonry Sealing Summary of Requirements: The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, personal protective equipment (PPE), environmental controls, and infectious disease controls to satisfy the requirements, construction and administration as detailed in the Construction Specifications, to complete the repointing/tuck pointing, sealing, and caulking of the Building 74 to Building 77 Connecting Corridor masonry façade of all above and below grade masonry units and concrete window wells, and interior masonry units above corridor roof. NAICS CODE: 238140 Masonry Contractors SBA Size Standard: $19.0 Million Background: Water infiltration into the corridor has been an issue.  In 2018/2019, the corridor roof structure was completely removed and rebuilt.  This included resetting the parapet cap stones.  After project completion, water infiltration was still present.  Using a common lawn sprinkler, the roofing subcontractor demonstrated that water was entering the building through the masonry façade and not the roof system.  This project has been established to correct the masonry deficiencies developed over time and to prevent water infiltration into corridor causing damage to paint and creating slipping hazards for VA personnel, Veterans, and Visitors. The Period of Performance for this requirement is 150 calendar days. This solicitation is anticipated to be a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about April 19, 2023, with an anticipated submission due date of May 22, 2023 by 10 AM EST. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Bids will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation.
