The VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC (VAMC Fayetteville) has need for a firm to provide all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete Project 565-20-103, Renovate Audiology for Specialty Clinics at the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center in accordance with the plans and specifications. The project entails the Renovation includes construction of patient reception and waiting area, triage and exam rooms area, observation rooms area, staff support area, and electrical room with new electrical panels. Finishes and fixtures in patient areas shall be impact and ligature-resistant as indicated in the drawings. Similarly, windowpanes in existing exterior windows in high security areas shall be replaced with ¼ polycarbonate panels. A new Air Handling Unit 7 shall replace former Air Handling Unit 7, accompanied by a new concrete pad and associated duct runs, utilities connections, and slab openings as depicted in drawings. Exterior improvements include construction of a new sidewalk to clinic exterior entrance, as well as finish grading, sodding, and seeding of the affected area. This is a Pre-solicitation only. Interested contractors should watch for the issuance of the solicitation which will have specific instructions and requirements associated with this procurement. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is January 20, 2023, with a bid opening on or about February 20, 2023. These are only tentative dates. The solicitation will have specific dates, times, and locations for the bid opening and site visit. The magnitude of construction per VAAR Part 836 is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This is a 100% SDVOSB set-aside. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a maximum small business size standard of $39.5 million. All interested parties must be verified in Sam.gov as an SDVOSB prior to submitting a bid. This is a PRESOLICITATION NOTICE only. This is not a request for pricing at this time.
