Page 3 of 3 Network Contracting Office 6 intends to release a Solicitation for Construction Services for a Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Project at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. The Project will provide for the installation of new air handling units, chillers, heat exchangers steam condensate packages and hot water pumps to serve four areas: Minor Surgery, Endoscopy, ENT, and Podiatry located in Building 47. All works shall be completed in conformance with Government produced specifications and drawing. Work is composed of, but not limited to, management and performance of construction period services, permitting, demolition, construction, construction management, submittals, including general construction, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, hazardous material removal, thermal and moisture protection, utility systems, finishes, scheduling, quality control, inspection/testing, environmental protection, recording (As-Built) drawings, and project closeout. A Pre-Proposal Site Visit is tentatively projected for 13 Mar 2022 at 1:00PM EST and Potential Offerors are required to RSVP by no later than 12:00PM EST 9 Mar 2022 via email to keith.hunter@va.gov. It is the responsibility of the Potential Offerors to confirm receipt of RSVP. It is the responsibility of the Potential Offerors to bring all necessary personnel, inclusive of subcontractors, tooling and materials necessary to the Pre-Proposal Site Visit. The Government will NOT be providing paper copies of any solicitation, solicitation attachments or annexes, specifications, or drawings. The Government will NOT be reimbursing any costs associated with attendance or proposal preparation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $16.5M million dollars. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 1 Mar 2022 with an approximate response date of 15 Apr 2022. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00 IAW FAR 836.204. The solicitation will be issued on a restricted basis and will be 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. However, should this pre-solicitation notice fail to provide adequate socio-economic interest to merit the continued reservation of the aforementioned set-aside, the projected site visit may be cancelled. To be eligible for award the SDVOSB must be considered small under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/. Companies must have the Certified Veteran Enterprise (CVE) seal on their registration to be considered for an award. Potential Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award.
