INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veteran Affairs intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Getinge LLC. This order will be for service and maintenance to Getinge s infectious control and cardiovascular equipment system located at the Charles George VA Medical Center Asheville NC. The Getinge certified technician shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, lodging and supervision necessary to perform preventative maintenance for the Getinge 86 Series Washer model 8668, 433/533 Sterilizer model 433HC, RO System model HS-2400 FT and 733 Sterilizer model 733HC located in the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Department at the Charles George VA Medical Center, 1100 Tunnel Rd, Asheville NC 28805. All work shall be performed by personnel qualified to work on Getinge manufactured equipment. All work performed shall be compliant with latest published edition of NFPA, UL, OSHA, FDA-CDRH, Joint Commission and VA standards and shall be designed to assure that the Charles George VA Medical Center is ensured that the equipment performance/specifications are equal to or exceed the performance/specifications when the equipment was originally accepted after procurement. This proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all expressions of interest received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. Interested contractors may identify their capability to provide the services prescribed within this notice and should provide sufficient data for the government to determine them as a comparable alternative to the intended source by sending capability statements in reference to this requirement no later than 15:00 PM EST, October 21, 2021 to: warren.pennil@va.gov.
