Network Contracting Office 6 intends to release a Solicitation for Construction Services for the replacement of approximately 248 of aluminum fencing with approximately 248 anti-climbing wrought iron fencing for the Community Living Center at the Salem Veteran Medical Center in Salem, VA. 24153. All works shall be completed in conformance with Government produced specifications and drawings. Work is composed of, but not limited to, management and performance of construction period services, permitting, demolition, construction, construction management, submittals, including general construction, concrete, thermal & moisture protection, earthwork, utility systems, scheduling, quality control, inspection/testing, environmental protection, recording (As-Built) drawings, and project closeout. A Pre-Proposal Site Visit is tentatively projected for 18 August 2022 at 2:30 PM EST and Potential Offerors are required to RSVP by no later than 12:00 PM EST 12 August 2022 via email to quentin.norvell@va.gov. It is the responsibility of the Potential Offerors to confirm receipt of RSVP. It is the responsibility of the Potential Offerors to bring all necessary personnel, inclusive of subcontractors, tooling and materials necessary to the Pre-Proposal Site Visit. The Government will NOT be providing paper copies of any solicitation, solicitation attachments or annexes, specifications, or drawings. The Government will NOT be reimbursing any costs associated with attendance or proposal preparation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990 with a size standard of $15.M. Â NAICS code 238990 Building and Property Specialty Trade Services: If a procurement requires the use of multiple specialty trade contractors (i.e., plumbing, painting, plastering, carpentry, etc.), and no specialty trade accounts for 50% or more of the value of the procurement, all such specialty trade contractors activities are considered a single activity and classified as Building and Property Specialty Trade Services. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 15 August 2022 with an approximate response date of 15 September 2022. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 IAW FAR 836.204. The solicitation will be issued on a restricted basis and will be 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. However, should this pre-solicitation notice fail to provide adequate socio-economic interest to merit the continued reservation of the set-aside, the projected site visit may be cancelled. If a qualified SDVOSB is indeed interested in this requirement and does plan to attend the site visit, please ensure that your firm s interest in this project is communicated to the POC for this notice by the previously identified RSVP date above. To be eligible for award the SDVOSB must be considered small under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: https://vetbiz.va.gov/vip/. Companies must have the Certified Veteran Enterprise (CVE) seal on their registration to be considered for an award. Potential Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a Unique Entity ID. number; recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
