PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Project #558-20-111 Site Electrical Upgrades The Department of Veterans Affairs, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, NC has a requirement for replacing the existing outdated 15KV lines 1 & 2, primary and alternate, at the Durham VA Medical Center, Durham, NC. General Scope: The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, parts, supervision, and quality control necessary to replace the existing outdated 15KV lines 1&2, primary and alternate at the Durham VA Health Care System. This also includes all cable between 10 25 years of age and old original cable in need of replacement per the drawings. Trace, Cut, Remove and Replace the existing 15KV lines 1&2 and Primary and Alternate in all manholes identified on the drawings. One line shall be removed at any given time. Install dead break elbows in manholes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, and 15, 15KV switches and switchgear tie-ins in building 7 and 18. Install 15KV splices form manholes 5, 8, 7, 10, 13, 14, and 15 Test all new 15KV cables per specifications De-water, setup, break down manhole entry equipment (confined space requirements) Rack and fire tape all new cables All work shall be performed according to the Statement of Work, attached specifications, and drawings. Estimated construction magnitude is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. NAICS CODE: 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors; Size Standard: $16.5 Million This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside.
