PRESOLICITATION NOTICE The Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking the services of a qualified construction company to provide all labor, material, transportation, equipment, and qualified supervision required for the following requirement: Physical Access Security System (PAC) Upgrades. Located at: Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, 1201 East Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond, Virginia, 23249. In general, this project shall include the addition of new PACS-controlled doors, PACS control panels, new doors and related accessories and associated work items within the following areas: Basement Level & 1st Floor. All PACS and other equipment (including card reader/keypad sensors, control modules, request to exit buttons, emergency exit buttons, door positions sensors and associated mechanical and electronic door hardware, motorized door opening systems, low voltage wiring, PACS control panels, power supplies) will be new equipment and components that shall match all existing manufacturer and models of equipment currently in use at this facility. The work shall be performed in strict accordance with construction drawings and specifications prepared by Department of Veterans Affairs. This solicitation is anticipated to be open market, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside. Offers are solicited only from SDVOSB concerns and offers received from concerns that are not from SDVOSB concerns shall not be considered. The NAICS code for this project is 561621: Security Systems Services (expect Locksmith) Contractor Size Standard of $22 million. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Solicitation material will be available on or about July 1, 2021. Material will include the solicitation and accompanying documents: drawings provided from the VA. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Location and points of contact for site visits will be identified in the solicitation. This is a notice for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposal.
