The Contractor shall furnish the A/E Design Services, all labor, material, equipment, supervision, As-Built Documentation, and all other related information. The renovation of Building 509 will allow the facility to house and operate new Government furnished 3D printing and finishing equipment to be used in the production of medical personnel protective equipment (PPE) and other medical supplies currently in short supply due to the COVID 19 pandemic. The design and subsequent renovating will be based upon the functional layout plan provided in this notice. The upgrades to the facility shall include the areas outlined in the functional layout plans and include the following building systems: heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and controls, electrical distribution system, architectural, structural, communication/data and fire protection systems. The designer shall also consider process flow when laying out the new space. Period of Performance/Work Site: 365 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Work will likely commence late Winter 2020 to Early Spring 2021.
