Page 3 of 3 PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Project #659-21-108 Reroute Bus Stop Water Main Bldg 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs, 1601 Brenner Ave Salisbury, NC will re-route a segment of 10-inch water main that passes under the new reinforced concrete Bus Stop pad located in front of Building 2. The water main is damaged in at least one place, with water coming to the surface in at least two places. The intent is to restore the loop by installing a new line around the pad, isolating the damaged segment (which will remain in place), and return the two fire hydrants located along the road at each end of Bldg 2 to service. The selected general contractor (GC) will provide all administration, supervision, labor, materials, tools and equipment, and perform all operations necessary to accomplish the above. Work will be performed according to project specifications, all applicable codes, and in accordance with current VA and Salisbury VAMC construction policies, procedures and best practices. Magnitude of construction for this project is : between $25,000 and $100,000 The contractor will have 90 days from the Notice to Proceed date which includes the time required for all submittals, material & equipment procurement, planning and mobilization, construction activities, and inspections This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about October 28, 2020. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals.
