Page 2 of 2 Description of Services The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) intends to establish a contract for offsite laundry and linen services. The contractor shall furnish all labor, personnel, supervision, management, equipment, transportation, materials, supplies, certification, training, and laundry facilities necessary to provide laundry and linen services to W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, North Carolina. The contractor shall collect soiled linen and laundry, provide laundry services, and deliver clean items in accordance with the scope of the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Laundering Requirements The contractor shall accept for processing all soiled linen bags, towels, blankets, fitted sheets, flat sheets, patient gowns, patient pajamas, pillowcases, scrubs, socks, under pads, wash cloths, mop heads, and patient clothes. The Salisbury VA Medical Center reserves the right to add any additional items based on the need for patient care. Estimated Quantities The contractor shall provide all services that may be ordered during the contract term, exact quantities are not determined. The volume will vary depending on patient occupancy. The Government does not guarantee any minimum amount of poundage per month or year. The contractor shall provide a fixed unit price per pound.
