Notice of Intent to Issue Sole Source Award The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6), intends to negotiate with Dominion Air & Machinery Company on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to procure a 3-axis CNC Milling Machine for the Richmond VAMC. This machine shall provide the ability to rapidly machine metal parts, including but not limited to custom tooling for injection molded parts such as nasal swabs and other personal protective equipment (PPE), orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive technology devices. This equipment is Brand Name Only for standardization at the Richmond VAMC. The Contractor shall provide equipment, tools, materials, installation, training and repair (1 year) necessary for McGuire VA staff to operate a TRAK-TMC5 Vertical Machining Center capable of converting DXF and Parasolid file formats to a CAM path and milling a variety of materials.
