General Scope: The Contractor will provide all transportation, material, hardware, parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision and technical expertise to Troubleshoot and repair underground valve designated for existing fire hydrant in bldg. 14, at the Hampton VAMC. Work shall include: Pre-coordination and preschedule work with the POCs. This work can only be performed after normal business hours, preferably on Saturday and Sunday. Must be able to mobilize upon issuance of Notice to Proceed. This is a turn-key project with the vendor providing all necessary tools, parts, materials and equipment. The following Specifications will apply: All work will be accomplished in-accordance with applicable Life Safety and OSHA codes and regulations. Additionally, the Department of Veteran Affairs guidelines and policies will be adhered to. All installed parts and materials will be new 6” underground valve. Vendor is to excavate and install new six- inch pipe underground valve at designated existing fire hydrant by building 14. Test for leaks and provide # 57 stone to above weep hole of hydrant and refill the area with and compact, grade and see affected area All work-related debris will be carried off station by the contractor.
