Modifications required for ability to not only assess but also train Veterans in safe operation / use include: Minivan Power Fold Out Conversion Kit including 4 point Wheelchair Tiedown System, Floors lowered 4-11 inches - to allow ingress / egress of the vehicle Bilateral Hand Controls including push, pull, rock, twist & right angle modified gas and brake controls for the disabled driver according to their residual level or function Left Foot Gas to allow for training of an amputee and neurologically affected Veterans to use the left foot to drive Instructor Gas & Brake for safety when therapist is conducting assessments and training on the road 2 Spinner Knobs with 12 Steering Function (6 each) to allow for safe steering of the vehicle by disabled Veterans Six Way Transfer Seat with Switchbox and hand held pendent to allow Veterans with ability to independently transfer use the captains seat, which is preferred to riding in their wheelchair or scooter Colie Built Quick Release for transfer seat allows for quick release and removal of the transfer seat for wheelchair use purposes Dual battery (one to run the vehicle an one to run the wheelchair lift; to avoid draining the main battery) Ship to: VAMC Hampton 100 Emancipation Dr Hampton, VA 23667 Any questions regarding sources sought notice need to be directed to: John Harmsen John.Harmsen@va.gov
