This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is a request for quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-06, Effective May 6, 2020. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238220, with a small business size standard of $16.5 Million. This project is located at the Fayeteville VA Medical Center. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the removal and replacement of Fire/Smoke dampers identified on the attached report as failed. All work shall be performed in full accordance with applicable local and Federal regulations. All equipment and installation shall conform to the VA master specifications, recommendations of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. The contractor shall use good safety practices during the demo and installation. Contractor to perform a site visit to confirm damper locations and sizes. Contractor to submit cutsheets for products to be used and a detailed schedule identifying location of work with anticipated durations (coordination with patient care is likely as their areas will be affected) before starting work. Contractor to remove as much dust and debris on damper and within ductwork utilizing HEPA filtered vacuums before demolition begins. Diffusers within the space will need to be covered during removal and installation of new dampers. Contractor to install dampers with required perimeter mounting angles, sleeves, breakaway duct connections, corrosion resistant springs, bearings, bushings and hinges per UL and NFPA. Contractor to perform verification and demonstrate of re setting and operation of dampers. Contractor to provide a final report listing each damper replaced, a check list showing that all post-installation test functions are complete with pictures of open , closed:, and reopen demonstrating the operability of the damper, date of installation, the model, and identification number of the damper.
