This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Solicitation, an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposal (RFP), a Request for Quotation (RFQ), or an indication the Government will contract for the items contained in this announcement. All information received in response to this RFI marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. PURPOSE The purpose of this RFI is to conduct market research to find qualified vendors and to assist Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 in determining if a future contract effort can be competitively awarded on a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside basis. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this effort is 339113 with the Small Business Size Standard of 750 employees. If the Government determines there are qualified vendors this requirement, a solicitation will be published and posted on the Contracting Opportunities website. The Government will use this information solely to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for this procurement. INTRODUCTION This requirement is for the purchase and installation of surgical lighting to be used in two (2) newly renovated operating rooms (OR). The W. G. Hefner VAMC requires the Steris Harmony LED Surgical Lights (BRAND NAME ONLY) with dual light heads and dual monitors to standardize the Medical Center s ORs. W.G. Hefner physicians complete surgical procedures at this VAMC as well as the Kernersville HCC and Charlotte HCC, all of which currently use these lights. REQUIREMENTS NOTE: The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors who can provide the following item(s) for the W.G. Hefner Salisbury Medical Center, 1601 Brenner Avenue, Salisbury, NC 28144: Item Number Description Unit 1 LMH0007 - Spring Arm and Light Head EA 2 SEC601772 - Install Preassembled Harmony Light, No FPM STERIS installation includes all necessary labor and materials required to uncrate, set-in place and assemble STERIS equipment. Price is for normal working hours, Monday - Friday 8 am -5 pm unless otherwise noted. STERIS also includes with its Installation Services an operational checkout test, any necessary adjustments and a demonstration of the equipment for appropriate facility personnel. EA DESCRIPTION OF INFORMATION REQUESTED Vendors with a GSA schedule shall provide the contract number of that schedule and the expiration date as well as product NAICS codes. All items should be clearly identified if they are scheduled items or open market items.
