The RPO East/NCO 6 Contracting Office, Hampton, Virginia, intends to award a sole source purchase order to VitalSmarts LC. as a result of the vendor being a sole source authorized reseller/distributor of Crucial Conversations Training Kits for Supervisors. Crucial Conversations offers well-established train-the-trainer certification courses which is a critical component of this purchase request. The Asheville VA Medical Center has standardized their practices on the Crucial Conversation training kits and this requirement will add to an already existing procurement. The staff needs to continue with the same content and training materials in an effort to capture the best return on our investment. Changing learning resources would negate previous training milestones and would lessen the effectiveness by having users trained by two different methods. VitalSmarts LC. is as brand name request and as authorized distributor we will pursuing a single source, open market award for this procurement. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized IAW FAR Part subpart 13.106-1(b)). The anticipated award date is 3 July 2020. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses. This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
