INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source commercial item procurement with Press Ganey Associates Inc for NDNQI services. The NDNQI nursing-sensitive indicators is a proprietary program of Press Ganey Associates Inc. The NDNQI program is the only database containing data collected at the nursing unit level. The program allows the VA to obtain information on nursing-sensitive indicators and their operational definitions, NDNQI enrollment procedures, quarterly reports to participating facilities, and examples from facility nurse liaisons of how NDNQI reports have been used to improve care. This proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest by sending capability statements in reference to this requirement no later than 1200 PM EST, December 6, 2019 to: warren.pennil@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
