This is a market research RFI, not a solicitation, for a self-contained x-ray irradiator to support a humanized mouse colony at the VA Maryland Health Care System. The required item is a brand name or equal to the Rad Source RS 2000-Q2, including delivery, installation, training, and a 12-month service/warranty agreement. Performance will occur at the VA Medical Center, 10 N Greene Street, Baltimore, MD (Room BB-120), with delivery, installation, and training required within 60 days after contract award. Respondents must be SAM-registered, provide an OEM authorization/distributor letter, complete the Buy American Certificate, and answer all specified questions; a firm-fixed-price contract is anticipated. The government will use responses to determine acquisition strategy and whether competition or a small business set-aside is feasible.
